Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Guardrail. By installing, buying, or using Guardrail, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. Guardrail is currently intended for individual, personal use.

What Guardrail provides

Guardrail is a nutrition journaling and educational companion provided by Sai Parivar LLC. It can help you set a protein target, log food, view daily history, record dose-cycle and nausea context, and obtain optional AI-assisted food-photo estimates. Features may change as the product develops.

AI and nutrition estimates

Camera scans, barcode data, protein values, calorie values, portion descriptions, and other nutrition information are estimates. Images can be ambiguous; recipes and serving sizes vary; and AI or third-party product data can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Review every result before saving it and correct or manually enter values when needed.

Guardrail is not an allergen detector, ingredient verifier, food-safety service, or source of guaranteed nutrition facts. Do not rely on a scan for allergy, intolerance, contamination, religious-diet, or emergency decisions.

Not medical advice

Guardrail is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or monitor a disease. It does not provide medication or dosing advice and is not a substitute for a doctor, dietitian, pharmacist, or other qualified professional. Talk with your clinician before changing medication, nutrition, or treatment. Contact local emergency services in an emergency.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

If paid plans are enabled, they will be offered through Google Play. The price, billing period, any trial, renewal terms, and taxes shown on the Google Play purchase screen will apply to your transaction. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them through Google Play before the next billing event. You can view or cancel under Google Play's Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions controls. Deleting Guardrail or clearing app data does not cancel a subscription.

Cancellation generally stops future renewal while access continues through the paid period, subject to Google Play's rules. Google Play handles charges and refund requests unless applicable law requires otherwise. RevenueCat is used to verify purchase status and restore access. You are responsible for the Google account used to purchase and for keeping it secure.

Your responsibilities

You agree to use Guardrail lawfully and to:

• submit only photos and information you have the right to process;
• avoid including faces, documents, or unrelated sensitive information in food photos;
• review estimates and remain responsible for your food and health decisions; and
• keep your device and Google Play account reasonably secure.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse Guardrail; interfere with or overload the service; probe or bypass security or usage limits; introduce malicious code; use automated requests without our written permission; reverse engineer the service except where the law expressly permits it; or use Guardrail to violate another person's rights or applicable law. We may restrict access needed to protect the service, users, providers, or the public.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how Guardrail and its providers process information, including optional food photos, local journal data, barcode lookups, and purchases.

Ownership and license

Guardrail, its design, software, branding, and content are owned by Sai Parivar LLC or its licensors and protected by law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose under these Terms. You retain rights in information and photos you submit and permit us and our service providers to process them only as needed to provide and secure the requested feature.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Guardrail available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features can depend on a network connection and third-party services. We may fix, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may update these Terms. The new effective date will be posted here; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guardrail is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limits of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sai Parivar LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or harm resulting from reliance on an estimate or third-party service. Our total liability arising from Guardrail will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Guardrail during the 12 months before the claim or US $50. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

Termination

You may stop using Guardrail at any time. If you have an active subscription, it must still be canceled through Google Play. We may suspend or terminate access for a material violation of these Terms, security risk, legal requirement, or discontinuation of the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
